The structure of MIPI camera module mainly includes the following parts:
CMOS photosensitive chip: Usually SONY IMX214 photosensitive chip is used, with a resolution of 13 million pixels (4208 × 3120 pixels) and a frame rate of 30fps.
MIPI interface: Data is transmitted through the MIPI D-PHY interface, supporting high-speed (HS) and low-power (LP) working modes. The data rate can reach 8 Gbps in HS mode, while the rate of each channel in LP mode is only 10 Mbps.
Level conversion chip: Such as MC20901 chip, used to convert MIPI D-PHY signal into LVDS signal for sampling with FPGA.
I2C bus: Used to control internal registers and motor focusing, the write device address of I2C is 0x20, and the read device address is 0x21.
Focus mode: Automatic focusing by motor, focusing distance is 10 cm to infinity.
Viewing Angle: The viewing angle of the camera module is 80.7° ± 3°.
