HD Resolution and Low Light: This camera adopts the 2MP IMX291 Color CMOS sensor with an 80DB wide dynamic range, can capture the minimum illumination 0.001Lux.
Wide Angle: High quality 100 degree wide view angle (diagonal) M12 lens with IR filter.
Capture Video with Audio: High frame rates, H.264 30fps@1920x1080; MJPG 30fps@1920x1080; YUY2 30fps@640x 480; Audio, single microphone (optional dual channel).
Plug&Play: UVC-compliant, support Windows XP/7/8/10, Linux, and Mac OS, just connect the camera to PC, laptop or Raspberry Pi with the USB cable without extra drivers to be installed.
The Composition of the Low Light Camera Module
Lens
The lens is a vital part of the camera module. used for imagery. A key aspect in determining picture quality is the quality of the lens.
Infrared filter
The sensor on the camera can accept a wider range of light wavelengths than the human eye, so the infrared filter can filter out those invisible rays.
There are two types of sensors
CCD (Charge Coupled Device) and CMOS (Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor). CCD has better sensitivity, so it can take better pictures.
Bracket
A structure, usually plastic, into which all components fit.
VCM
The component is embedded in the holder. It is the lens used to adjust the focal length of the lens.
Sensor
Another key component is the camera module. It is used to receive the picture produced by the lens.
Applications
Smart traffic - Smart traffic systems use cameras for tasks such as ALPR (Automatic License Plate Recognition), vehicle counting, and people analytics.
Smart surveillance - Any kind of surveillance system that has to operate in low light needs an ultra-low light camera. We earlier spoke about why a parking lot management system (which is a type of smart surveillance) needs a high sensitivity camera.
Medical microscopes - Certain types of microscopic applications (e.g. dark field microscopy) use the NIR spectrum to accurately analyze the specimen.
